How an Anthropological and Stoic Perspective Empowers Agile Leadership

In agile environments, we often focus on frameworks, tools, and velocity – but what about the human being at the center of it all? Today’s agile leaders are not just facilitators of process; they are shapers of culture, meaning, and ethical responsibility.

This talk explores how combining anthropological insight with the timeless principles of Stoic philosophy can empower agile leadership. By understanding humans not as resources, but as complex, value-driven beings, leaders can foster deeper trust, resilience, and alignment within their teams. Stoicism offers tools for self-mastery, emotional clarity, and purpose-driven action – crucial qualities in a world of constant change and uncertainty.

Drawing on real-world agile experiences, leadership practices (including those of Satya Nadella and Simon Sinek), and Stoic thinkers like Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus, we’ll reflect on how philosophy is not abstract theory – but a powerful ally in becoming a wiser, more grounded leader.

Because agility isn’t just about how we work – it’s about how we live and lead.

Magdalena will speak together with Zuzanna Konarska.
