I’m Benjamin (but you can call me Benji). I’m a Software Engineer and a professional Scrum Master.

In my work as a developer as well as an Agile Coach, I’ve experienced how teams are struggling. Being forced to spend time in meetings that are not bringing any value just because the process demands it. Not having time to support each other because the amount of work is overwhelming. Those are just a few things that make people lose their motivation and work dull and frustrating.

I believe work can be creative and fun. I believe we can reduce those wasteful activities and create an environment where you can focus on delivering value instead of simply being busy. And I believe that you and your team can move in this direction as well, independent of your current environment and processes.

How it's all connected: From Flow Metrics to Product KPIs

Shipping fast is good, knowing when you’ll ship is better.

Shipping the right thing, at the right moment, is what moves the needle.

In this short talk we’ll show how linking Flow Metrics & Forecasts with clear Product KPIs closes the gap between delivery performance and business outcomes.

Using a lightweight “Value Architecture” canvas and real team data, we’ll walk end-to-end through:
1. Innovation funnel – capture & score ideas against strategic KPIs.
2. Flow & Forecasting – using data and MC Simulations to forecast when a feature will ship.
3. KPI impact modeling – predict when the metric will move—and by how much.
4. Go-to-Market loop – validate the prediction, learn, and feed the next bets.

Imagine being able to change the conversation from “When is Feature X done?” to “Metric Y is slipping: Here are three bets and the potential dates they’ll restore the trend.”

Benji will speak together with Peter Zylka-Greger.

Workshop—Flowbeya: How visualizing Flow Metrics can guide your Team

In this highly interactive workshop, the participants will be introduced to two concepts: Flow Metrics and Obeya. Through hands-on exercises, they'll learn how to those concepts on their own can help their teams and organization to improve their effectiveness. In the second part of the workshop, the participants will learn how to combine both concepts and how this will support teams in their journey to self-management by visualizing this data.
Throughout the workshop, there will be hands-on exercises. The participants will either use their own experience or be based on real examples we've experienced throughout our careers.

After the workshop, the participants can apply what they learned in their environments. In detail, the participants will
1. Understand what flow metrics are and how they can be useful to drive continuous improvement
2. Know what an Obeya is (compared to a regular Dashboard) and how it helps drive self-management
3. Learn how blending both concepts will increase effectiveness
4. Know how to get started in their environment

Benji will do the workshop together with Peter Zylka-Greger.
