Dopamine in Work Environment: Friend or Foe

Dopamine is a well-known neurotransmitter, often praised for its role in driving high achievement. However, it is also linked to mental health issues and burnout. This presentation will explore how dopamine affects mental health, examining the consequences of having too much or too little of it. We will also discuss dopamine's impact on work performance, identifying when it boosts productivity and when it becomes a hindrance. By understanding dopamine better, we can highlight leadership practices that harness its benefits and suggest ways to create a balanced work environment that supports productivity without compromising well-being.
