Workshop—Fight theatre with theatre! Use techniques of improv theatre stars
Are we really Agile, or are we just acting?
Do you remember a time when you wished for the retrospective to end, because you knew nothing would change anyway? If you feel that you and your team can do better, stop hiding behind safe frameworks and predictable scripts. Improv can be your ally in the fight against Agile Theatre.
In this workshop, we will explore key concepts of improv theatre and learn to use them to encourage more open communication, react swiftly when things get messy and find the courage to transform mistakes and hiccups into lessons learned.
To achieve that we will perform a series of interactive exercises together and practice the fundamental actor's loop: truly listening to what is happening around you, pausing to notice how it makes you feel, and deciding how to act and communicate that truth effectively to others.
Only then will you be ready to stop being performative and start performing.
